Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in Encinitas, California

Description

We are looking for accounting professionals who are accomplished and organized. A Full Charge Bookkeeper has become available with one of our clients in the Real Estate industry. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation and audit. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Encinitas, California area. Submit your application as soon as possible!

Responsibilities

  • Operate monthly accounting close

  • Prepare subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Business license and gross receipts summarizing

  • Administrate Accounts Receivable

  • Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Produce cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Prepare cash flow projections, as needed

  • Credit Card management and reconciliation

  • Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments

  • Maintain Accounts Payable

  • Other assignments as requested

  • Record budget transfers

    Requirements - Detailed and have the ability work independently

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

    • 5+ years of related experience - Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Practical knowledge of journal entries

  • Quality experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Proven knowledge of trial balance

  • General familiarity with Microsoft Excel

  • Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Wide ranging experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Bank reconciliations experience

  • Well-founded grasp of Yardi

  • General ledger experience desired

  • Cash reconciliations experience highly desired

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
