Description

The Power Platform Developer collaborates closely with the data and development team, focusing on the development, implementation, and maintenance of solutions leveraging Microsoft Power Platform. This role contributes to application/solution planning and development, addressing user concerns to maintain consistent user experiences tailored to their needs. Additionally, responsibilities encompass data security and recovery, guaranteeing emergency retrievability, and meticulous documentation of workflows and processes.

  • Designing, creating, and deploying business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

  • Demonstrating proficiency in UI design, crafting visually appealing interfaces for enhanced usability and navigation.

  • Customizing data models, forms, workflows, and reports to align with business requirements.

  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, incorporating visual design, metrics, data visualization, and analytics for business performance monitoring and enhancement identification.

  • Managing SQL Server databases, executing T-SQL queries for data manipulation, storage, and retrieval.

  • Resolving technical issues related to Power Platform applications and SQL Server, ensuring seamless functionality.

  • Designing, developing, and integrating reports in Power BI, incorporating them into PowerApps as required.

  • Gathering and meticulously documenting user requirements, translating them into detailed application designs accessible to varied technical backgrounds.

  • Acting as a liaison with internal departments and external entities, fostering positive communication and collaboration.

  • Contributing to database design to support application development projects effectively.

  • Analyzing and optimizing query performance, implementing real-time corrective measures for issue resolution.

  • Developing, testing, and debugging complex T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

  • Engaging in code reviews and technical design discussions, ensuring adherence to best practices.

  • Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and user manuals.

  • Establishing security and compliance protocols, safeguarding data from unauthorized access and defining application access and permission best practices.

  • Staying updated on new features and best practices within the Power Platform ecosystem, ensuring ongoing optimization and innovation.

    Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience working as a Microsoft Power Platform Developer

  • Microsoft Power Apps: Power BI, Automate, Pages, Virtual Agents, and/or Dataverse experience

  • General familiarity with SharePoint Design/Development

  • Quality experience with T-SQL

  • UI Design experience - must have the ability to create visually appealing interfaces that are easy to use and navigate.

  • SQL Server Database Design

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience working with Azure DevOps

  • Ability to develop RESTful Web Services/APIs

  • Good understanding of PowerShell and/or Javascript Scripting

  • Microsoft Power Platform Certification
