Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the telecomm industry to find a Tax Manager. This is a full time, permanent position in Englewood. Responsibilities:
• Analyze and document uncertain tax positions, assessing the potential impact on financial statements.
• Prepare and review tax provisions under ASC 740, ensuring accurate financial reporting of income taxes in accordance with US GAAP.
• Conduct quarterly and annual effective tax rate calculations, analyzing fluctuations for management reporting.
• Manage tax compliance with local and international subsidiaries, ensuring accurate tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to align tax provisions with overall financial reporting.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, adjusting tax provisions as needed to remain in compliance with ASC 740.
• Assist in tax planning and strategy, providing insights from ASC 740 analysis to minimize tax risks and optimize tax positions.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the review and audit of income tax provisions, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Calculate deferred tax assets and liabilities, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and proper recognition in financial statements.
• Prepare tax footnotes for SEC filings, including Form 10-K and 10-Q disclosures.
Requirements
Keys:
Bachelors degree in accounting finance or business
5-12 years within corporate tax using ASC 740
