We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our client in the Harrisburg area. This role involves managing general accounting, accounts payable, and payroll functions for the organization.

Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant will include:

• Prepare and enter journal entries to record financial activity into the general ledger.

• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and provide support for the annual financial audit.

• Maintain transactions and prepare reports.

• Process monthly invoices.

• Prepare bi-weekly payroll submission for approval.

• Prepare calculation for 401(k) contributions and review quarterly payroll tax forms.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3+ years of related experience.

· Non-profit accounting experience preferred.

· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), accounts payable, payroll and financial reconciliation.
