Description
Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for a Sr. Accountant to support a 10 month contract engagement with a client located in Enon, Ohio. This contract role is needed to augment the accounting staff during a system conversion. Role will assist with common corporate Sr. Accountant duties, such as month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. It will also support ad hoc tasks related to the ongoing system conversion from SAP to Oracle, such as account data analysis, inventory comparisons, etc. Role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Enon, OH.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including but not limited to purchases, sales, transfers, and adjustments.
• Conduct regular reviews of retail inventory balances and process necessary adjustments.
• Employ strong analytical skills to identify and investigate inventory variances to determine root causes.
• Respond to store operator/field operation inquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Undertake Ad-Hoc duties as needed to support the team and the business.
• Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel Skills to compile, analyze and present data.
• Use problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and identify trends effectively.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with various stakeholders.
• Work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in all accounting tasks.
• Utilize Oracle and SAP systems for efficient data processing and analysis.
Requirements
• Must hold a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting is required
• Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
• Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
• Experience with SAP is a plus
• Experience with system implementations a plus
• Understanding and application of GAAP Accounting principles is a must
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are preferred
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desired
• Advanced certification such as CPA is a plus
