Robert Half Staff Accountant in Enon, Ohio

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant role in Enon Nt, Ohio. The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of tasks related to maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy of inventory transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accuracy of inventory transactions, including purchases, sales, adjustments, and transfers

• Analyze inventory variances and identify potential causes

• Maintain accurate records of retail inventory balances and process necessary adjustments

• Resolve inquiries from store operators and field operations

• Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support the accounting team

• Use advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage and analyze data

• Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and identify trends

• Communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, to present findings and resolve issues

• Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in daily tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing

• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient understanding of the General Ledger

• Ability to record accurate Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite software

• Proficiency in Oracle software

• Experience in QuickBooks software management

• SAP software utilization skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
