Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Escondido, California

Description We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to be a part of our non-profit organization based in Escondido, California. The position requires you to manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing. The role also involves the use of UKG payroll software, overseeing multi-state payroll, handling final check processing, and responding to email inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing using UKG software

• Manage multi-state payroll operations, including Washington and Illinois

• Oversee final check processing and direct deposit procedures

• Respond promptly and professionally to email inquiries related to payroll

• Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Handle payroll requisitions and missed timesheet approvals effectively

• Manage garnishments and cleanups of import expenses

• Utilize Excel for payroll-related tasks, including vLookups and PivotTables

• Maintain high attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility

• Uphold excellent customer service standards in all interactions

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Kronos Timekeeping System

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time

• Knowledge of Multi-state Payroll and semi-Monthly Payrolls

• Ability to handle Payroll for over 500 Employees

• Proficiency in processing Payroll

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements • Expertise in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Familiarity with About Time software

• Knowledge in Multi-state Payroll

• Experience in handling semi-Monthly Payrolls

• Proven track record of managing Payroll for over 500 Employees

• Ability to effectively Process Payroll

• Previous experience in a Non-Profit organization would be beneficial

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred

• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), are advantageous
