Customer Service Representatives who love building solid customer relationships will be interested in OfficeTeam 's new position! Are you looking for an excellent career opportunity? This Customer Service Representative position could be for you if you are highly-skilled and looking to take on the next level of service. You will serve as the primary interface between the customer and company for all order-related activities and inquiries; and will work closely with field sales to understand and meet the customer's ever changing needs. You will also get to assist with some demand planning-related functions. This could be the long-term temporary (and potential temporary-to-hire!) Customer Service Representative position you're looking for, if you can work in Etters, Pennsylvania! Candidates who thrive in a dynamic, rapidly-changing call center will be interested in this position.

What you get to do every day:

  • Provide timely, accurate communication on all price and product availability requests.

  • Receive and process customer orders on a timely basis, understand the specific product and shipping requirements, and transmit this info to the pertinent functions within the business; will need to process all types of orders as instructed or access a customer’s online site to pull orders.

  • Maintain the customer cross reference file and shipping arrangements in current programs and on the customer master profiles.

  • Thorough understanding of on-time delivery requirements and performance measurement criteria of focused accounts. Demonstrate effective order management skills allowing the company to attain preferred supplier ratings at such accounts.

  • Monitor daily status of all late and/or held orders while looking at alternatives for timely delivery through other shipment methods or product substitution solutions. Provide prompt accurate response to customer inquiries regarding such orders, shipments and invoice statuses.

  • Assist in the collection of receivables and resolve disputed invoices/open adjustments by working with customer’s buyers and Finance Department.

  • Communicate and interface with Product Marketing and Field Sales to share all information regarding any customer issues.

  • Effectively utilize all resources to meet/exceed customer expectations where standard procedures may fall short.

  • Project a positive image of the business and the customer service function to our customers and other employees.

Demand planning duties:

  • Ensure adequate material inventory in accordance with production schedules and forecasted demand from customers resulting in increased service levels with contractual agreements.

  • In cooperation with other company units, review schedules and makes adjustments in accordance with customer requirements, changed priorities, etc.

  • Analyze and monitor forecasts and associated product usage for specific customer based VMI programs to validate part number level adherence to contractual agreements.

  • By use of data warehouse, monitor and measure forecast deviations.

  • Manage reserved and consigned inventory levels to maximize inventory turns and minimize supply risk.

  • Monitors and validates inventory transactions of consigned product at customer locations.

  • Communicates directly with customers and internal/external sales personnel to initiate additions/deletions from VMI programs.

    Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in a technical discipline along with related experience; or equivalent work training and at least 3 years of current experience in a similar role.

  • Proficient with Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Word/Excel/Access/Outlook.

  • Must have keyboarding skills appropriate for efficient, timely responses via correspondence and order entry/processing.

  • Must demonstrate an effective, pleasant telephone manner.

  • Must be thorough, with strong attention to detail/follow-up.
