Description
Bridget Killen at Robert Half is searching for an Accounting/ Payroll Specialist proficient in Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks payroll software. This is a permanent hybrid Accounting / Payroll Specialist position that comes with an excellent benefits package, which includes 100% paid premium for employees and dependents, a 10% retirement contribution by the company, 15 paid holidays, and a sabbatical leave depending on the tenure of employment. We are looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented accounting detail oriented for a small non-profit in the Eugene, Oregon area.
Key responsibilities: - General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing - Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable - Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing - Perform monthly payroll for 25+ permanent employees - Prepare statements and reports that require the utilization of a variety of sources - Reconciles taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts monthly - Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Post financial information to journals and ledgers

Requirements -Non-profit experience required - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - experience in in Spreadsheet and ERP system - Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request - Solid understanding of the Accounting Cycle - Full Cycle Payroll experience required - Quickbooks Online experience required - Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
