Description

Jennie Joiner with Robert Half is working with a fast-growing, Eugene Oregon Healthcare company to hire an outstanding Senior Financial and Payor Contract Analyst. In this Financial and Payor Contract Analyst position, you will be tasked with measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans and conducting financial modeling on a wide range of financial products. In addition to advising management on the assignment of resources to best complete objectives, you will prepare reports for management. You will focus on areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management as a business partner on this dynamic team.

The Senior Financial and Payor Analyst role, you will be expected to follow your main responsibilities with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. The main objection for this role is to assist with contracting and negotiation with payors (supporting the CFO) by performing analytics with rates and revenue flows as well as quality risk.

Required:

· Minimum of three years of experience working in a healthcare setting

· Minimum of three years in a finance/economics/Analyst role

· Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in finance, accounting, public health or economics.

· Excel – Advanced

· Experience using sequel programming is a plus

Prepare Monthly Operating Reports by summarizing detailed

financial statements and describing major trends in the business and describe

variances to previously prepared business plans.

· Support the preparation and development of the Annual Business plan, including market positioning, financial summary data, metrics, and top business priorities.

· Support contract negotiations through review of contract language, modeling of proposed contract terms and rates and make recommendations as appropriate to CFO.

· Routinely develop, review and analyze statistical, cost, and financial reports for complex payor contracts.

· Verify payor rate schedule updates for compliance to contract terms. Educate and communicate payor methodology and/or rate changes to the appropriate department staff.

· Prepare financial payor models and benchmark comparisons to support contractual decisions including assumptions, observations, conclusions and recommendations.

Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

  • Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Foundational knowledge in Payors

  • Solid understanding of Annual Financial Reporting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with contract administration

  • Adeptness in Contract Management

  • Knowledge of Annual Financial Plan

  • Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience suggested)

  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
