Robert Half is looking for HR Specialists in the Eugene area to join our client’s HR teams and monitor all Human Resources functions. HR Specialist responsibilities include preparing compensation and benefits packages, setting up company policies, and maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of labor legislation. Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.

  • Source, screen, and interview potential candidates to ensure a qualified applicant pool.

  • Conduct initial orientation and onboarding for new employees, including explaining company policies and benefits.

  • Administer and maintain HR programs, such as employee recognition, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.

  • Handle employee relations by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and providing guidance on workplace issues.

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from posting job openings to extending offers of employment.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

  • Support management in disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.

  • Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and necessary documentation.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in human resources.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an HR Specialist or in a similar HR role.

  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Experience with HR software and databases.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

  • Outstanding judgment and decision-making skills.
