Mid-sized manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a hands on Human Resources Director. This position will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including benefits, compensation, compliance, employee relations, payroll, recruiting, and safety for a plant with about 400 employees. This is a strong hands-on management position and requires very strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written. This position will report directly to the CFO. Responsibilities will include the following: Manage and administer all of HR / Payroll / Safety functions including but not limited to: Benefits Administration and Compensation including insurance benefits, 401k, ESOP, and compensation analysis, compliance, employee relations, payroll, recruiting and safety. The ideal candidate will have solid Human Resources management experience of at least seven years in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree. SPHR or SHRM SCP certification preferred. Ability to be sensitive to different cultures.
Strong skills / experience needed for the following:
multitasking and time management for fast paced environment
negotiation and facilitation to effectively deal with conflicts and affect change
building relationships with all levels within the organization
oral and written communication skills
Strong MS Excel and Access
