Description
My client, a rapidly growing Logistics/Shipping/Warehousing company located in Fair Lawn, has a brand new opportunity for a Controller.
Compliance and risk management: Ensure all financial processes are compliant with legal standards, manage risk effectively, and ensure proper insurance coverages are in place, including managing all premiums and audits.
Human Resources Leadership: Oversee the HR function, ensuring compliance with labor laws to foster a positive workplace culture.
Play a critical role in turning strategy into reality, through meticulous planning and effective execution.
Actively participate in executing the strategic plans developed by the company’s leadership, ensuring operational alignment with corporate goals.
Technology and IT supervision: Lead the oversight of the company’s technology and IT infrastructure, ensuring the deployment of efficient, secure, and supportive technology solutions.
Maintain a hands-on approach to managing cash flow, billing, billing procedures, and accounts receivable, ensuring financial stability and health.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA a plus.
• Extensive experience in a financial leadership role, with a preference for backgrounds in logistics, freight forwarding, or related industries.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple departments.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
• Proficiency in financial software and systems pertinent to logistics and distribution.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage serval projects.
