Description
We are actively seeking an Associate, specifically within the realm of Civil Litigation. This role will be based in Fairfax, Virginia, and will involve working on cases for a diverse range of clients including motor carriers, construction companies, contractors, product manufacturers, and others. The workplace will provide a hybrid work environment, offering the flexibility to work from both home and office.
Responsibilities:
• Handle cases involving a variety of clients such as motor carriers, construction companies, contractors, product manufacturers, hotels, restaurants, and retailers.
• Engage in Insurance Defense matters, providing expert legal advice and representation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
• Prepare and present arguments and counter-arguments in a court of law or other legal proceedings.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism.
• Utilize knowledge of Juris and Bar Admission during case preparation and representation in court.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and advice as needed.
• Monitor and achieve billable hours target as part of performance measures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a comprehensive approach to case management.
• Continually update professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of clients and the firm.
Requirements
• The role requires a minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
• Familiarity with Juris and its applications is necessary.
• Virginia Bar Admission is a mandatory requirement.
• The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• The ability to work in a team as well as independently is required.
• The candidate should possess strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, is expected.
• The candidate should have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with legal research tools and databases is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• The candidate should demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is crucial.
• The candidate should have a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of current laws and regulations related to the field is necessary.
• The candidate should be open to continuous learning and skill development.
