Robert Half Collections Specialist in Fairfax, Virginia

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the banking industry for a Collections Specialist in Fairfax, Virginia. The Collections Specialist role centers on providing excellent customer service, specifically in the area of credit and collections. The workplace is located on-site, necessitating the need for a personal vehicle for commute as public transportation is not readily available.

  • Prior experience working within mortgage is highly preferred! Looking to have someone start ASAP!

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy in all details

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records

• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries in a professional and timely manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts consistently and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Follow-up with customers who are past due on their payments through phone calls and emails

• Send out reminders via email, voicemail, and mail to customers regarding their delinquent payments

• Update customer accounts and perform data entry tasks as needed

• Prioritize multitasking in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple phone calls and data entry tasks simultaneously

• Demonstrate proficiency in the MS Office suite and adaptability in learning new software

• Use excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure top-notch customer service at all times

Requirements

• Prior experience of at least 1 year in the banking or mortgage industry

• Proficiency in Customer Service

• Demonstrable skill in using MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively address customer inquiries and complaints

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Problem-solving skills to identify customer issues and implement appropriate solutions

• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records of customer interactions

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools related to customer service management

• Exceptional organizational skills and a customer-centric approach to work.
