We are offering an exciting opportunity for a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. This role involves carrying out cost analysis, accounting functions, and using Microsoft Excel in a dynamic RH Direct environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cost analysis to evaluate the company's business activities and future expenditures.

• Execute accounting functions, including maintaining and auditing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

• Implement cost accounting procedures and methods to ensure accurate financial information.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create financial reports, and support decision-making processes.

• Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial information and contribute to budget preparation and control.

• Monitor and review financial information, updating records to reflect accurate and current data.

• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve financial operations efficiency.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Provide support during internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

• Stay updated with industry trends and current financial legislation.

Requirements

• Proficiency in performing Accounting Functions is mandatory.

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting principles and practices is essential.

• Demonstrated skills in Cost Analysis are required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• A solid understanding of the role and function of RH Direct in an organization is crucial.

• Candidates need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• An ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

• Familiarity with financial software systems would be advantageous.

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately is needed.

• Candidates must have a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
