Robert Half International Sr. Accounting Coordinator in Fairfax, Virginia
My client, a non-profit in Northern Virginia, is looking for a Sr. Accounting Clerk to join their growing team. The Sr. Accounting Clerk will handle accounting responsibilities in conjunction with the CAO and an outside CPA firm. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in accounting or bookkeeping. The daily responsibilities of the Sr. Accounting Clerk include the following:
Handle financial information with a high level of confidentiality
Manage bank and credit card statements for reconciliation
Manage online payments for exam candidates, record examination fee payments from Authorized.net to PCM system, and generates reports
Manage bill paying duties using QuickBooks
Maintain and manage paper and digital filing systems for financial, audit, tax, insurance, etc. per organizational policies
Manages the short and long term CERP provider payments
Works with the Executive Coordinator with Board meeting per diem, expense reports, and travel reimbursements, etc.,
Works in conjunction with the CAO in planning and accomplishing long term organizational projects
Supports Director of Promotion & Advancement with setting up shipments for conferences
Assist CPA Firm with compiling and preparing property tax documents, forms, and insurance filings for CAO to review
Support the CAO with annual financial audit fieldwork
Qualifications to be considered for the Sr. Accounting Clerk position:
3+ years' accounting experience
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and Quickbooks.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting prefered
