Robert Half Senior Systems Administrator in Fairfield, California
Description We are providing an opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator in the insurance industry. The position is located in Fairfield, California and requires someone with a detailed understanding of system hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The successful candidate will be expected to support environments such as VMware, Cisco, Cloud, O365 systems administration.
Responsibilities:
• Provide server and application system administration, including LAN support, virtualization, network monitoring, and employee access. • Perform capacity planning and performance monitoring on the systems and work with management to ensure high-performance standards and availability. • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network, hardware and software problems on systems, input/output devices, and workstations. • Provide services to software development to analyze, recommend, and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for the use of software. • Provide maintenance of newly developed applications and possibly provide programming expertise in the creation of new applications. • Interface with vendors and management to ensure the successful deployment, effective usage, and efficient operation of information systems and technology. • Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business • Perform and test system backups and restores. • Manage input/output devices, including printers and tape libraries. • Conduct research on emerging products, services, and technology standards. • Perform security implementation and audits. • Participate in the weekly 24/7 helpdesk support on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks. • Perform other related duties as required and assist with special projects. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years experience in the role of a Systems Administrator • Demonstrable expertise in Cisco Technologies and Products • Proficiency in Active Directory management and operations is essential. • Experience with Backup Technologies is a necessity. • Familiarity with Computer Hardware, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance is required. • Proven experience in planning and executing IT Deployments. • Proficiency in VMware and VMware Infrastructure • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including administration and user support is needed. • Must be able to legally work in the location of the job without requiring must be eligible to work in the U.S.. • A all candidates required to undergo background check may be conducted based on company policy and regulatory requirements. • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. • Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
