Robert Half Insurance Authorization Coordinator in Fairfield, Indiana

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Fairfield, Indiana for an Insurance Authorization Coordinator. The role will primarily involve working with insurance pre-certification in the medical services industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining accurate demographic information, validating insurance information including eligibility, medical policy, and benefits as required. The role also involves engaging with patients, providers, visitors, and staff to answer queries and resolve any issues related to insurance pre-certification.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain insurance pre-certification prior to the rendering of medical services

• Obtain and validate accurate demographic information from patients

• Validate insurance information including eligibility, medical policy, and benefits as needed

• Provide answers and resolution for any questions received from patients, providers, visitors, and staff

• Use management systems such as Epic, McKesson, MEDITECH, and eClinicalWorks to handle medical insurance and insurance verification tasks

• Undertake claim administration and billing functions

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure proper documentation of all processes

• Handle prior authorizations in an efficient manner

• Use Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field.

• Proficiency in using Management Systems.

• Experience with EMR systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge and understanding of Benefit and Billing Functions.

• Experience in Claim Administration.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Exceptional documentation skills.

• Experience with Prior Authorizations.

• Understanding of Medical Insurance and Medical Insurance Verification processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.

• Must have the legal right to work in the specified location.
