Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Fairfield, New Jersey

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Fairfield, New Jersey. The role primarily involves processing orders and arranging shipments for large kitchen equipment for professional kitchens and restaurants. The successful candidate will be part of a friendly team, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth order and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Processing customer orders in an accurate and timely manner

• Arranging shipping and tracking of large kitchen equipment for professional kitchens and restaurants

• Maintaining and monitoring inventory records to ensure availability of products

• Tracking customer orders to ensure timely delivery

• Liaising with warehouse associates and the operations manager to ensure smooth operations

• Utilising software tools such as SAP for order processing and inventory management

• Providing personable and detailed customer service

• Communicating effectively with customers and team members, both verbally and in writing

• Demonstrating great attention to detail in all aspects of the role

• Adhering to the dress code of jeans and shirts or t-shirts, ensuring clothing is not ripped or offensive in any way. Requirements • Proven experience in a customer service role

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to resolve customer service issues effectively

• Proficiency in order entry and data management

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• High level of patience when dealing with customers

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Good understanding of customer service practices and principles

• Proficiency in using customer service software and databases

• Ability to adapt to different types of customers and their needs

• Good listening skills to understand customer inquiries or complaints

• Willingness to learn about the company's products or services to improve customer service

• High level of professionalism when interacting with customers.
