Description We are seeking an experienced individual to serve as a Controller for our organization located in Fall Church, Virginia, United States. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing and submitting financial reports, supervising accountants, preparing tax returns, and providing strategic advice. This role is within the non-profit industry and requires an individual with a strong background in accounting and finance.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prepare monthly financial reports

• Build and maintain client relationships through regular communications

• Supervise accountants in closing monthly financial results

• Prepare business and personal tax returns and estimates

• Provide tax planning and strategic financial advice to clients

• Recommend financial operations and cash flow best practices

• Use Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for efficient work management

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct regular auditing and ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Participate in budget processes and financial planning. Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar financial leadership position.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ERP Solutions.

• Strong understanding and management of Accounting Functions.

• Extensive experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Solid background in Auditing and Budget Processes.

• Ability to oversee and manage all financial aspects of a business.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is preferred.

• Proven ability to work effectively with senior management and other key stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
