Robert Half Financial Accounting Supervisor in Fargo, North Dakota
Description We are seeking a Financial Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Fargo, North Dakota. This role is crucial in overseeing our accounting department's daily operations. You will work on preparing financial reports, maintaining account records, and implementing accounting procedures. This role is ideal for someone with strong GAAP knowledge and is comfortable using SAP.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Implement and maintain accounting procedures and policies to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications.
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit.
• Routinely audit accounting and financial data for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to perform month-end close procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries related to their accounts and resolve issues as needed.
• Responsible for the corporate accounting function, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate.
• Regularly review customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Lead, guide, and support a team of accountants and junior staff members. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in GAAP Accounting
• Experience in performing audit tasks
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures
• Knowledge and experience in corporate accounting
• Proficiency in utilizing SAP software
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
