Robert Half Plant Controller in Faribault, Minnesota

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Plant Controller near Faribault, Minnesota. This role is in the manufacturing industry, where the selected candidate will play an integral part in our financial planning and budget management functions. The individual will be expected to leverage their expertise in ERP systems and accounting functions to help drive our organization's financial strategy and hiring plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all financial operations within the plant, including but not limited to, the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets.

• Utilizing ERP systems to streamline and improve financial processes and systems.

• Leading the execution of manufacturing accounting processes, providing valuable insights that will aid in decision-making processes.

• Driving the budgeting processes, ensuring all budgets are accurate, comprehensive and completed on time.

• Engaging with various stakeholders to gather information needed to perform budget analysis.

• Using Epicor or similar software to manage financial planning, tracking, and controls.

• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions.

• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

• Assisting in hiring and training of new accounting or finance staff.

• Guiding financial decisions by applying company policies and managing corporate budgeting processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Accountant for a minimum of three years. Does not need a Controller title.

• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

• Proficient in the use of Epicor would be a plus.

• Extensive knowledge of accounting functions and their application in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrable experience in managing budget processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Excellent analytical abilities to manage large amounts of data.

• Advanced knowledge of financial software and MS Office.

• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
