Robert Half Treasury/AP Manager in Farmers Branch, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Treasury Manager in the insurance industry based in Farmers Branch, Texas. This role involves supervising a team and managing various aspects of treasury and accounts payable operations for our insurance agency.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of 2 to ensure efficient execution of treasury and accounts payable tasks.

• Handle the filing of 1099R reports (Premium Tax) in a timely and accurate manner.

• Manage state withholding processing and reporting.

• Oversee sales and use tax operations.

• Manage unclaimed property records and inquiries.

• Prioritize tasks related to 1099R but also consider tasks related to state/use tax filing.

• Utilize Accounting System (EAS) and Premium Pro (by Tri-Tech) for 1099R filings.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel skills, particularly Vlookups and Pivots.

• Ensure adherence to banking operations and cash activity management.

• Manage withholdings and Sales & Use Tax activities effectively. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in a Treasury Manager role or similar capacity.

• Demonstrated proficiency in banking operations, managing cash activities, and preparing Form 1099.

• Proven experience in managing withholdings, including understanding of withholding tax regulations and requirements.

• Deep knowledge of sales and use tax, including strategies for efficient tax planning and compliance.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data.

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders.

• Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) would be an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
