Description
We are in search of a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team for a position in Farmington, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) process, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring all payments are received and correctly applied
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to confirm the company's financial records are accurate
• Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded
• Prepare and post Journal Entries as required, ensuring all financial transactions have been accounted for
• Assist with Month End Close procedures, preparing financial reports and statements
• Utilize software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial information
• Ensure all financial records are kept up-to-date and accurate
• Respond to inquiries, providing information and assistance as needed
Requirements • Possess a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Familiar with maintaining and managing General Ledger
• Proficient in preparing and posting Journal Entries
• Experienced in handling Month End Close procedures
• Proficient in using accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting and regulatory standards
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
