Robert Half VP of Accounting in FARMINGTON HILLS, Michigan
Description Our client is a large, profitable, growing property management firm. Due to their continued growth this form is looking to expand their team and hire a skilled VP of Accounting. If you are hired for this role, you will manage a team of over 20 professionals and lead al the accounting activities for this organization. This will include reviewing the work of 2 controllers and their staff. In addition, your work will consist of:
• Leading with month-end,
• On-going training and development
• Overseeing the budgeting process and monthly reporting which will include variance analysis with explanations,
• Support ownership with strategies and oversee implementations of approved strategies
• Ensure proper internal controls are followed and reviewed
• Compile and analyze financial reporting packages and share with key stakeholders
• Work with external auditors
• Other duties as required.
Our client is requiring candidates have a bachelor's degree in accounting and their CPA designation for consideration. Additionally. our client is looking for someone with 10 or more years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate/property management accounting, and demonstratable supervisory experience of a large accounting team.
