Description
Our client is looking for someone who will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining their data infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Azure and SQL technologies, with a deep understanding of data engineering best practices and a passion for creating robust and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture and Modeling: Design and implement scalable and efficient data models that meet the business requirements and support future growth. Work closely with data architects to ensure that the data architecture aligns with overall business goals and objectives. ETL Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant tools. Ensure the seamless flow of data from source systems to data warehouses, data lakes, and other data repositories. Data Integration: Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from various sources and provide a unified view for reporting and analytics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from different business units and systems. Azure Cloud Services: Utilize Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage to build and manage data solutions. Implement and optimize data solutions in a cloud environment, ensuring high availability and security. SQL Development and Optimization: Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load data efficiently. Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other tuning techniques. Data Quality and Governance: Implement and enforce data quality standards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data. Collaborate with data governance teams to establish and maintain data quality policies and procedures. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor data pipelines and systems to identify and address performance issues promptly. Collaborate with IT support teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related incidents and outages. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document data engineering processes, data models, and ETL workflows for future reference. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented culture.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on both Azure and SQL technologies. Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL development. Managing and modeling large data sets in Microsoft SQL or PostgreSQL. Hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues. Experience in healthcare industry is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
