Description Job Summary/Scope of Position The primary accountability of the Inside Sales Representative will include supporting existing customers, exploring opportunities for new products, expanding business within the current customer base, and introducing products to prospective customers. Responsibilities Provide responses to customer inquiries in a timely manner. Assist the field sales force with customer support. Ensure regular telephone contact with all key account customers, existing client base, prospects, and leads. Follow up with customers on quotations. Prospect and qualify new business opportunities. Generate price quotations for new and renewed sales opportunities following pricing strategies. Understand relevant material specifications and customer requirements. Provide support to purchasing to maintain ideal stock levels for customer long-term contracts. Participate in monthly sales meetings to report on previous month’s efforts. Some travel required. Future relocation a strong possibility. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience: Previous sales experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and understand sales is essential. Previous customer relations experience is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good computer and applications knowledge. Experience using Microsoft Office products, email, and databases preferred. Ability and desire to learn is essential to this position. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, both in person and remotely.
