Robert Half Financial Analyst in FINDLAY, Ohio
Description Robert Half is seeking a candidate with a thorough understanding of finance and strong communication skills for a Financial Analyst role. Daily functions include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. Located in the Findlay, Ohio, this Financial Analyst role is a permanent employment opportunity. Your responsibilities
Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes
Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Survey performance to date and assess potential opportunities and risks
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Complete and direct forecasting reports
Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic resource allocation and prioritization, and event tracking and execution
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required Requirements - Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrated knowledge of Analyze Variance
Account analysis experience required
Adeptness in Import Export
Analysis experience preferred
Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience highly desired
Account analysis experience desired
Proficiency in Ad Hoc Analysis
3+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools experience a plus
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Financial analysis & planning (go-to-market experience preferable)
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
