Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the non-profit industry located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be tasked with managing customer accounts, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.

• Maintain precise records of customer credits.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status.

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Support reconciliations and participate in special projects as required.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various data entry and record-keeping tasks.

• Ensure all accounts receivable tasks are performed in compliance with the industry regulations.

• Act as a point of contact for all customer inquiries related to accounts receivable.

• Collaborate with the team to improve and streamline the accounts receivable process.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial policies and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data entry, analysis, and reporting tasks.

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required, including invoicing, ledger entries, and payment tracking.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to liaise with clients and internal teams.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial recording and reporting.

• Familiarity with other accounting software and systems is a plus.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices is necessary.

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

• Ability to collaborate with a team and also work independently when required.

• Commitment to the mission and values of the non-profit sector.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.

• Prior experience in a non-profit organization will be an advantage.
