Robert Half is working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. As the Senior Accountant, you will be working on the core accounting functions that will lead the way in month end close and the general accounting process. This role will work directly with management to ensure accurate reporting of financial information for the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate financial information and reports and handle all aspects of the general ledger.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information through accurate recording, verification, consolidation, and timely entry of transactions.
• Respond to queries and requests from internal and external parties in a timely manner.
• Perform account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain and update the general ledger and journal entries.
• Handle month-end close procedures and manage fixed assets.
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in Senior Accountant role, preferably with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to manage and maintain the general ledger.
• Experience in preparing and posting journal entries.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in month-end close procedures.
• Knowledge and experience in managing fixed assets.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
