Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Flint, Michigan
Description We are embarking on an adventure to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in FLINT, Michigan. This role will be pivotal in maintaining financial records and processing transactions. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity that will involve tasks such as managing vendor payments, handling rent and utility payments, and assisting in check-runs.
Responsibilities:
• Manage vendor payments through ACH or wire transfer methods
• Process incoming payments for rent and utilities
• Assist in executing check-runs
• Handle invoicing and invoice matching tasks
• Maintain and update financial records with high accuracy
• Utilize Sage Accounting Software and MS Excel for various accounting tasks
• Perform accounts payable duties as per set guidelines and procedures
• Ensure all financial data is stored securely and confidentially
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations
• Use QuickBooks for managing and processing financial transactions. Requirements • Must have familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Experience with Sage Accounting Software is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Excel is required
• Knowledge of check runs is a plus
• No minimum years of experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• High school diploma or equivalent education is required
• Prior experience in a hospital or social assistance environment is a plus.
