Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Flint, Michigan

Description

We are in search of a meticulous and analytical Sr. Financial Analyst to join our healthcare team for this fully remote position. This role is central to our finance functions, offering the opportunity to work within a telecom provider industry. This position will involve the preparation and analysis of financial data relating to assigned product lines and finance functions, overseeing financial statement preparation, and managing the budgeting process. This is a contract only role.

Responsibilities:

• Review and make necessary adjustments to general ledger journal entries and financial statements

• Handle and resolve issues during the account reconciliation process

• Prepare or audit monthly financial reports that accurately summarize and forecast the company's financial position

• Conduct analysis of records, trends, costs, revenues, and expenses, and assess budgetary variances

• Oversee the annual submission of the medical loss ratio for regulatory purposes

• Prepare analysis and reports for the development of the premium for submission to the Actuary

• Assist in the preparation and development of the annual operation budget

• Perform various duties as assigned or when necessary to maintain efficient operations of the department

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)

• Ability to analyze cost variance

• Experience with Financial Statement Audits

• Capability to analyze revenues

• Proficiency in Variance Analysis

• Experience in creating an Annual Budget

• Familiarity with General Ledger

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft

• Expertise in Monthly Financial Reporting

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in Accounting Functions

• Must have a Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance

• Must have advanced experience with MS Excel

• Familiarity with Financial Statement Audits

• Ability to Analyze Revenues

• Proficiency in using PeopleSoft

• Experience in Monthly Financial Reporting
