Description
Robert Half is seeking a talented and experienced Staff Accountant for an excited contract to permanent opportunity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial success and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, invoicing, and customer collections.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Month-end and Year-end Close: Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made and financial reports are finalized.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of cash transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, and track performance against budgetary targets.
Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax filings and work with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting procedures.
Requirements
Requirements:
Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong background in general ledger management, financial reporting, and analysis.
Accounting Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and tax regulations.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, management, and external partners.
Integrity: Demonstrates high ethical standards and handles sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
Team Player: Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and contributes to a positive work environment.
