Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager assists with the daily accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, and supports the business's financial health. This role involves maintaining internal controls and providing financial insights for strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for daily accounting functions: AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, financial reporting.
· Ensure accurate and timely month-end/year-end close processes.
· Prepare financial statements and management reports.
· Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
· Maintain and implement internal financial controls and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings.
· Assist in annual budget preparation and management.
· Monitor monthly results against budget.
· Provide financial analysis for business decisions and strategic planning.
· Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
· Manage banking relationships.
· Recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.
· Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
· Analyze financial data and provide insights for business growth.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
