Robert Half Data Entry Clerk in Flushing, New York
Description We are seeking a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Flushing, New York. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry. As a Data Entry Clerk, your main responsibility will be to manage and organize data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. You will be working with proprietary databases, and should be able to pick up new systems quickly and maintain attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Pulling information from reports and entering the data into a proprietary database in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensuring the accuracy of the data entered and making necessary corrections.
• Maintaining confidentiality and security of all data.
• Working closely with other team members to ensure the consistency of data records.
• Promptly resolving any discrepancies in data entries.
• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Being responsible for other duties as assigned related to data entry and customer credit management. Requirements • Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar position will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in using data entry software and tools
• High school degree or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
• Solid understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
• Proactive and energetic personality with a problem-solving mindset
• Strong attention to detail.
