Robert Half is recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager/ Consultant to support our large privately held client for a 3 months+ project. The consultant ideally will have public accounting (active CPA), from a large company ( >500M revenue), and have worked with the Big 4 CPA firms in preparation of annual and quarterly audits. In addition, the consultant must be knowledgeable of US GAAP. The consultant will assist with month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, reviewing account reconciliations, ensuring all subledgers and reports match the general ledger, preparing any adjusting journal entries and preparing audit schedules as required by the external auditor. This role will be hybrid schedule with 2 days onsite in Fontana. CA.

Soft Skills:

Must be personable with good presentation skills to communicate with all levels of senior management and the External Auditors

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of accounting, preferably within the Rental/Leasing Services industry or similar industry.

• Proficient in Financial Reporting, including the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

• Skilled in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, ensuring accurate and efficient reconciliation of company's financial accounts.

• Capable of preparing and recording Journal Entries, maintaining and updating accounting records.

• Demonstrable knowledge in Technical Accounting, including an understanding of complex accounting topics and the ability to apply technical accounting standards.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.

• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.

• Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing a team.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Must adhere to high ethical standards and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification would be a plus.
