Robert Half is in search of a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our healthcare client's team situated in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. This role is instrumental in guiding the planning, administration, and execution of all compensation and benefits programs and policies. Our client is looking for a team-player that doesn't mind helping out wherever needed within the HR department, while also being a critical contributor in establishing corporate short and long-term objectives regarding employee compensation and benefits programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develops and monitors compensation and benefit programs

  • Oversees the daily activities associated with managing the programs focused on compensation (including payroll system) and benefits

  • Analyzes data to determine the effectiveness of plans

  • Monitors and evaluates existing benefit programs, including insurance programs, 401(k) plan, leave and time off policies, ensuring that all programs are current, and competitive with regards to trends, practices, and costs.

  • Develops the compensation and benefits manpower, operating and capital budgets and works within budget guidelines

  • Responsible for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration


  • Proven experience in compensation and benefits roles for a minimum of 2-5 years

  • Preferably healthcare setting experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Strong communication skills and being able to work directly with company employees

  • Good listening skills
