Robert Half International LOA Claims Coordinator in Fort Collins, Colorado

OfficeTeam has a fantastic long term temporary opportunity for an articulate, highly-skilled LOA claims coordinator. Are you someone who loves creating durable and productive customer relationships? Then this may be the role for you. This position will operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This could be the Fort Collins, Colorado Customer Service Representative position you're looking for, if you're available for a long-term temporary engagement.

What you get to do every day

  • Handle customer absence claims end to end and contact customers to inform them of resolution, when appropriate

  • Assess new claims and make accurate classifications about the type of absence required

  • Contact employees as needed and keep them updated on the status of their claim

  • Ensure all tasks and decisions are rendered within SLA

  • Navigate ambiguous claim requests and apply good judgement about how to apply policy and regulations to the case in question

  • Escalate gaps in resources as appropriate

  • Quickly escalate high impact/large-scale issues to CRC leadership

  • Field and send out send written business correspondence

  • Manage and place incoming telephone calls

  • You will likely support business development and client referral goals by actively cross-selling and referring customers

  • Deliver outstanding, friendly customer service in a timely fashion


  • Extremely high attention to detail and ability to correctly and quickly enter information

  • Strong computer skills including customer database systems

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Comfort and confidence when interacting with internal and external partners and clients/customers

  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, e.g. ACT!, Illustrator, Highrise, and Insightly

  • 3 or more years of experience in contact center resolutions/escalations, HR, absence management, or comparable case management

  • Short Term Disability/long Term Disability experience preferred

  • Good understanding of benefits administration

  • Adeptness in Resolve Customer Service

  • Short Term Disability Insurance experience

  • Customer service experience

  • Earlier work involving Benefit Packages

  • Comprehensive knowledge of FMLA

  • Knowledge of leave of absences

  • Data entry experience highly preferred

  • Ability to handle high volume of work and prioritize tasks based on criticality

  • Background working with Benefit Functions

  • Practical knowledge of Family Medical Leave

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Basic Medical Terminology

  • General familiarity with Basic Medical Terminology

  • achievement oriented, positive attitude and an approach to work rooted in professionalism

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Experience performing extensive research to resolve complex customer inquiries

  • Excellent customer service and office administrative skills
