Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Project Accountant in the construction industry. This role is based in our workplace in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and involves handling administrative duties and ensuring project compliance. The ideal candidate should have experience with commercial insurance and be able to efficiently communicate with our subcontractors through calls and emails.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing all projects to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Regularly communicate with subcontractors via calls and emails
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate records
• Handle accounts payable and billing functions
• Assist in budget processes and capital expenditure (CapEx) management
• Operate Deltek and Deltek Vision software for project accounting
• Contribute to the understanding and importance of insurance in business operations
• Collaborate with the team to ensure all construction projects are compliant with insurance requirements
• Assist in maintaining the integrity of accounting functions within the organization. Requirements • Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems is necessary
• Experience with CapEx required
• Familiarity with Costpoint is essential
• Knowledge of Deltek and Deltek Vision is advantageous
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Billing Functions is necessary
• Understanding of Budget Processes is required
• Experience in the Construction industry would be beneficial
