Robert Half Network Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Description We are in search of a Network Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role involves analyzing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing network infrastructure and application components. As a Network Engineer, you will ensure our computer network performance meets the necessary requirements. You will provide direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze, install, configure, maintain, and repair network infrastructure and application components.
• Respond and troubleshoot alerts from our monitoring system.
• Provide fault isolation for remote locations.
• Configure and troubleshoot our firewalls and Aruba Wireless Network.
• Implement approved architecture and deploy new or expanded network systems.
• Configure, operate, and maintain our network routing infrastructure.
• Perform regular maintenance on network devices, including running system backups, reviewing logs, and upgrading operating systems.
• Maintain documentation on all routing policies, procedures, and configurations.
• Travel off-campus to attend professional and/or training conferences and remote locations.
• Assist with special projects as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Checkpoint and Cisco ASA is necessary
• Expertise in using Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with AB Testing and Backup Technologies
• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware and Configuration Management
• Experience in Datacenter and CCNA Technologies
• Proficiency in Cisco CCNP
• Working knowledge of Juniper and Brocade Switches
• Basic Network Troubleshooting and Basic Troubleshooting skills are essential
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Relevant professional certifications are a plus
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
