Prominent law firm in Hollywood, FL seeking a paralegal or JD with an RN degree. Paralegals LEAD our law firm and our case management. We are looking for a superstar leader that is impatient with mediocrity and wants to create exceptional work product and unparalleled client satisfaction - that value an enjoyable, motivating and skills-enhancing work environment who wants to take their skills to the next level, to intelligently take leadership in and having intelligent understanding of our matters, really know the cases and be able to offer insightful and productive help, as well as draft pleadings, discovery, deposition questions and trial-related documents, to lead and drive the attorneys to complete their tasks, interact on a regular basis and establish wonderful working relationships with clients, among other things. We also have trial skills and law training available on an ongoing basis.
· Maintain deadlines
· Prepare comprehensive and detailed letters to clients and others
· Draft detailed legal documents
· Draft comprehensive discovery requests and responses
· Review, organize, understand and explain client documents
· Perform legal, factual, records and other research tasks
· Help with trial preparation including witness lists, exhibits, trial binders, etc.
· Assist lawyers at trial· Other litigation-related tasks
High School diploma or its equivalent
Five (5) years litigation experience
Have a high regard for character and integrity in yourself, our firm and the work and services we provide
Team player who is always looking to improve themselves and motivate others
Great time management skills and be extremely organized and detailed
Ability/Desire to draft comprehensive letters, great pleadings, discovery, deposition questions and trial-related documents
Be committed to leadership roles in leading and drive the attorneys to complete their tasks
Ability to interact on a regular basis and establish wonderful working relationships with clients
Knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of Prolaw or other similar computer time/billing/document management system
Communication skills including both written and verbal format
Ability to work independently
Ability to be detail oriented
Ability to maintain the confidential nature of documents received internally or from non-parties
