Description

Robert Half Technology is looking for a PC Technician with an aptitude for solving complex technical issues and an ability to clearly and concisely communicate with both technical and non-technical users. If you are a self-starter and enjoy solving problems and working in a positive, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you! The short-term temporary PC Technician will work in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, area.

What you get to do every day

  • Take down, box and ship out of date equipment

  • Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site

  • Diagnose, restore, rebuild, and refurbish computer hardware, such as PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and additional IT equipment

  • Communicate with ticket submitters effectively and on a regular basis

  • Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records

  • Image and prepare new computers

  • Own and execute technology implementation projects

  • Install printers, troubleshoot and handle repairs

  • Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases

  • Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

  • Complete PC-to-PC data transfers and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix

  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

  • Assist with functionality testing and end user support

Requirements

  • Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets

  • Microsoft Windows experience desired

  • Deep understanding of imaging

  • Expertise in Deploying

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • A certification in CompTIA A+ is mandatory

  • Well versed in network design and implementation strategies

  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • 1 - 3 years of experience supporting hardware and software for PC and Mac, and knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
