Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role is primarily centered around maintaining and reconciling account balances, bank statements, general and sub-ledgers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of month-end close, audits, and tax filings.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of account balances and bank statements to ensure accurate financial records

• Maintenance of General and Sub-Ledgers through analysis and journal entry preparation

• Timely and accurate completion of month-end close processes

• Ensuring successful audits and tax filings by maintaining comprehensive and accurate financial records

• Cross-training on all Shared Service Finance responsibilities to ensure a comprehensive understanding of all processes

• Identification of errors and suggestion of ways to improve efficiency and accuracy

• Verification, allocation, posting and reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable

• Maintenance of properly documented Balance Sheet reconciliations

• Utilization of SAP HANA, Excel Formulas, and other accounting tools to perform duties

• Application of knowledge in IFRS Accounting, IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds, US GAAP, GAAP Accounting, and other accounting principles

• Execution of tasks related to Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, Profit Loss, Bank Reconciliations, Cash Reconciliations, Ledger Reconciliations, General Ledger, and other related duties. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Sr. Accountant.

• Proficiency in using SAP HANA.

• Strong knowledge of Excel Formulas is essential.

• Experience in performing Month End Close, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, and Profit Loss calculations.

• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations, Cash Reconciliations, Ledger Reconciliations, and General Ledger management.

• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS Accounting) and IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds.

• Understanding of US GAAP and GAAP Accounting is required.

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting, Standard Cost Accounting, and Manufacturing Cost Accounting is beneficial.

• Experience working in shared services environment is a plus.
