A local technology services company is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting. The SEC Reporting Manager will be responsible for creating, implementing and executing all external financial reporting needs of the organization. The Director of SEC Reporting will be responsible for SEC filings and support the accounting department. The most important function will be SEC filing, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and assisting with Form S-1 draft. The SEC Reporting Director will ensure compliance with GAAP enforced by SEC and FASB. Some responsibilities include maintaining monthly and quarterly financial reports. Managing the consolidation process, review cashflow statement, assess the affect new accounting standard on current FASB and SEC activities. The Director of SEC Reporting will oversee the accounting for stock based compensation and equity, assess journal entries and reconciliations and confirm compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with technical issues, disclosures and working closely with lawyers. The ideal combination of experience would be public and private but the client is open to a strong leader with experience leading and overseeing SEC Reporting.
