Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Fort Mill, South Carolina

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the Manufacturing industry, based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The role primarily involves handling customer service activities related to our diverse range of products, with a focus on maintaining effective communication flow among customers, management, and outside sales representatives.

Responsibilities:

• Answer questions for customers and outside sales staff regarding the status of in-house and shipped orders, product information, invoicing discrepancies, availability, lead times, prices, freight costs.

• Prepare Returned Goods Authorizations and Credit Requests.

• Process credit card payments and ensure accurate data entry of all purchase orders.

• Provide customer support by leveraging knowledge of our products and their applications.

• Respond to inbound sales calls and maintain effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.

• Process requests for samples from Area Sales Managers and distributors.

• Follow-up on orders which require special handling, fabrication, or purchased parts.

• Investigate and document customer claims regarding missing material, material breakage, price discrepancies, etc.

• Comply with Company policies and procedures.

• Utilize skills such as Answering Inbound Calls, Account Management, Customer Service, Customer Service, Data Entry, Email Correspondence, Inbound Outbound Calls, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Order Entry, Schedule Appointments.

Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls and providing exceptional customer service

• Experience in a call center environment

• Ability to perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy

• Proficient in email correspondence and handling inbound and outbound calls

• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience in order entry processes and systems

• Ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars effectively

• Familiarity with the Stone/Glass/Concrete Manufacturing industry is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints or issues

• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools

• Commitment to providing excellent customer service at all times.
