Robert Half Logistics Clerk in Fort Mill, South Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This role plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating all warehouse transactions, ensuring the prompt and accurate distribution of goods to our customers. The successful candidate will be involved in overseeing supply chain operations, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and facilitate supply chain operations

• Maintain a robust inventory control system and optimize warehouse space usage

• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, coordinating with freight companies for pickups and deliveries

• Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the company's inventory

• Assist in managing returns and exchanges of defective items, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate

• Collaborate with customer service, delivery services, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations

• Resolve any logistics related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner

• Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing stock, deliveries, and dispatches

• Use logistics software to optimize procedures and ensure efficient operations

• Stay up-to-date with changes in inventory, delivery and routing procedures, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to logistics and freight forwarding. Requirements • Proficiency in computer programs relevant to logistics and warehouse management

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne systems

• Proficiency in using About Time software

• Experience in answering inbound calls and handling billing functions

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Knowledge and experience in using SAP

• Understanding and experience in logistics and the logistics industry

• Experience in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge and experience in log shipping, shipping & receiving, shipping documentation, shipping operations, and shipping products

• Experience in a warehouse environment and warehouse inventory management.
