Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Fort Mill, South Carolina
Description There is an exciting long-term contract / temporary opportunity with one of our clients for a Senior Financial Analyst. Fort Mill, South Carolina will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst. You'll be interested in this position if you want to be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will also perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.
Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately
Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Offer assistance for ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests as necessary
Power existing management reporting by evaluating financial results, distilling and synthesizing issues, and articulating key updates to senior-level staff
Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates
Make business, operational, and financial processes to be shared, understood, and repeated by relevant teams
Grow business performance by identifying and executing financial analysis
Team closely with Functional leads by executing management reporting, advising in accounting and compliance, and ensuring operational initiatives are in alignment with each other Requirements - Necessary education includes a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
Able to think critically and operate effectively with management
Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented
Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Research Analysis
Prepare Financial Reports experience
Financial analysis experience preferred
Prepare Financial Statements experience
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills
This position requires relevant experience in operations finance
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
A background in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
