Robert Half International Assistant Payroll Manager in FORT WAYNE, Indiana
Robert Half is looking for an Assistant Payroll Manager for a company in Fort Wayne, IN. This person will be joining a wonderful team on a contract to hire basis to handle the day to day operations of the payroll department! This person should be detail oriented, have strong time management abilities, the ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and be highly organized.
Primary functions of the role:
Ensure multi-state payroll is processed accurately and on time (including: garnishments, and interrogatories, child support orders, payroll taxes (Federal, State, Local and Unemployment, bonusses, & Flexible Spending Accounts)
Process supplemental payroll and any out of sequence checks such as separations and corrections
Prepare ad hoc payroll reporting and analysis as needed.
Assist with W2's at year end
Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.

At least 3 years of experience processing multi-state payrolls.
Proficient in payroll and benefit software, process, and procedures
Proven ability to deal with confidential information
High attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to handle confidential data with discretion.
