Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in purchasing and will work closely with our team to monitor inventory levels, ensuring we have the necessary supplies for manufacturing production. The successful candidate will have over 3 years of experience in purchasing, along with strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate Prices with Vendors:

  • Secure favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to optimize cost savings.

  • Maintain Vendor Lists

  • Keep comprehensive and up-to-date records of approved vendors.

  • Settle Vendor Disputes

  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts with suppliers promptly and effectively.

  • Monitor the Status of Orders with Vendors:

  • Track and ensure timely delivery of orders, addressing any delays or issues that arise.

  • Perform Audits of Vendors' Invoices:

  • Review and verify the accuracy of invoices against purchase orders and deliveries.

  • Prepare and Process Purchase Orders:

  • Generate, review, and process purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Research and Compare Suppliers:

  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential new suppliers.

  • Process and Compare Inventory Reports:

  • Analyze inventory reports to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages.

  • Additional Miscellaneous Tasks as Assigned:

  • Support the procurement team with various tasks and projects as needed.

    Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
